According to the Amulung Information Office, traversing the Amulung Steel Bridge, Goran Bridge, and Tana-Annabuculan Road is not advisable due to the heavy rains brought by the bad weather.

“All kinds of vehicles could no longer pass through the said bridges and roads towards Amulung because of the rising water levels from the Cagayan River due to nonstop heavy rains brought by typhoon ‘Kristine,'” according to the Cagayan Provincial Information Office.

A total of 3,795 individuals from 1,321 families were evacuated in the province due to Kristine. They came from 101 barangays and 17 municipalities.

“The families were staying temporarily in different evacuation centers across the province prepared by the local government to ensure the safety of every resident,” they added.

In Camarines Sur, a public school was submerged under roof-deep floodwaters.

Public school teacher Yoly Aminalo took to social media to highlight the damages caused by Kristine to school equipment.

“All the DepEd materials, equipment that the teachers worked hard for (are gone),” she said.

The schools involved include Sta. Eulalia Elementary School in Baao District.
