NOLCOM commits to adhere to AFP’s FOI initiative

The Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) reaffirmed its support for the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ (AFP) Freedom of Information (FOI) program on Thursday.

Leading the cascading of the FOI program in San Miguel, Tarlac City, was AFP Public Affairs Office Chief Colonel Xerxes Trinidad and his team.

NOLCOM Commander, LTGEN Fernyl Buca, expressed his full support for the FOI initiative, emphasizing its role in fostering trust and accountability.

“Transparency is key to strengthening our relationship with the public, and NOLCOM is fully committed to adhering to the AFP FOI program,” Buca stated.

During the visit, Col. Gracioso D. Merioles PA (MNSA), Chief of the Unified Command Staff of NOLCOM, engaged with Col. Trinidad’s team to discuss improvements to NOLCOM’s FOI processes.

“NOLCOM remains committed to transparency and accountability in line with the AFP’s thrust for open governance and public access to information,” said NOLCOM Public Information Chief LtCol. Jaime Ferrer.
