There is no sign that former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque left the country, according to the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
“There are no travel records monitored by the agency of any recent travel made by former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, who is the subject of an arrest order issued by the House of Representatives,” BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval said on Thursday.
Immigration officers in all international ports and seaports in the country were alerted to report any attempt by the former presidential spokesman to leave the country, she said.
The former mouthpiece of then President Rodrigo Duterte was cited in contempt by the House of Representatives’ Quad Committee on September 13 after he refused to submit documents that would supposedly explain his increased wealth.
Roque is now being hunted by the police and will be detained once apprehended.
The former Malacañang official maintained that he is not a fugitive.
