PAF, Army run joint air-to-ground drills in Isabela

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) and the Philippine Army (PA) collaborated to enhance fast rope and air-to-ground operations during their joint exercises in Gamu, Isabela.

PAF Spokesperson Colonel Maria Consuelo Castillo stated that personnel from both units utilized the PAF’s S-70i Black Hawk helicopter to execute joint combat tactics.

The activity showcased their ability to swiftly insert troops using the fast-rope technique and conduct precise heli-sniping operations.

“These exercises underscored the importance of rapid deployment, precision, and the integrated use of air and ground forces in various combat scenarios,” Castillo said.

The activity also focused on Precision Heli Sniping, demonstrating seamless coordination and operational proficiency between the PAF and PA.

The interoperability drills are deisgned to enhance coordination, communication, and operational proficiency between the two forces, paving the way for more effective joint military operations.

These drills are part of the PAF-PA Interoperability Exercise (IOX) 03-24, which commenced on October 7, 2024, and will run until October 11, 2024.
