Former Cavite 1st District Rep. Francis Gerald “Boy Blue” Abaya formalized his mayoralty bid for his hometown Kawit as he led his slate in filing for their certificates of candidacy (COC) for the 2025 midterm polls at the local Commission on Elections office on Monday.
Abaya was joined by his running mate, businessman Gerry Ramos and their municipal council bets former barangay captain Chris Fausto, barangay captain Pen Gandia, Derick Bote Bautista, Lili Peregrino, Allan Ilano, Edgar Repollo, Wee Narvaez, former Kawit councilor Medel Caimol.

The Abaya-Ramos tandem is pushing for a governance style encapsulated by their slogan “Kawit Muna Bago Sarili (Kawit First Before Self).
