Philippine Army outreach activity benefits children, students in Bukidnon

The Philippine Army’s 2nd Field Artillery Battalion troops conducted a two-day community outreach activity in the areas of Brgy. Candelaria and Brgy. Halapitan, both located in San Fernando, Bukidnon.

This initiative was connected to the 10th Live Fire Exercise held on September 27-28, 2024.

The activity began with a variety of parlor games for children, with prizes that included toys and over 100 pairs of slippers.

The team distributed various school supplies to pupils at Candelaria Elementary School and Indigenous Peoples (IP) students in Sitio Malantao, Brgy. Halapitan.

Additionally, food packs containing rice, canned goods, and noodles were provided to over 500 households in Brgy. Candelaria and Brgy. Halapitan.

The unit stated that this two-day community outreach activity exemplified the importance of collaboration and partnership between the military and civilians, promoting mutual respect and support for a safer and more secure environment for all.

This initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders from the 2nd Field Artillery Battalion (2FAB), Army Artillery Regiment (AAR), Philippine Army (PA), along with the 10th Infantry Division and the 89th Infantry Battalion, among others.
