Lawyer Nick Conti of the CLICK Partylist expressed strong support for Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sonny Angara’s commitment to enhancing the digital literacy and IT skills of Filipino students.
Following Angara’s recent address at the 4th Philippine-Singapore Business and Investment Summit, where he emphasized the integration of technology and coding in the Philippine educational curriculum, Conti shared his thoughts on the direction of education reform.
“The CLICK Partylist has long championed the importance of digital literacy, and we are pleased to see that Secretary Angara is prioritizing this aspect. His focus on coding, real-time analytics, and technological integration aligns perfectly with our goals of improving Computer Literacy, Innovation, Connectivity, and Knowledge (CLICK) across all levels of education,” Conti said.
He further noted, “In today’s rapidly changing digital world, it is critical that Filipino students are equipped with the skills necessary to succeed in the global workforce. The focus on IT skills will not only make our students more competitive but will also open new opportunities for innovation and economic growth.”
