PAGASA forecasts a heavy rainfall outlook in parts of Luzon and Visayas, which have already been placed under Signal No. 1 as tropical depression ‘Enteng’ gathers strength and is about to make a landfall over Catanduanes.
The weather disturbance will impact mostly the Bicol Region based on its track and intensity outlook, according to the 8:00 PM advisory issued by the state weather bureau on Sunday.
‘Enteng’ is forecast to move generally northwestward to west northwestward until early Monday morning and make a landfall in the vicinity of Catanduanes within the next 3 hours and mainland Bicol Region within the next 12 hours, PAGASA said.
“For the remainder of tomorrow (Monday), Enteng will turn more north northwestward or northward after emerging over the waters north of Camarines provinces and move over the waters east of Luzon,” it noted further.
PAGASA expects ‘Enteng’ to reach tropical storm category by Monday until Wednesday. It may also turn into peak typhoon later this week.
