President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. praised the achievements of new Career Executive Service Officers (CESOs) on Monday, highlighting their role in transforming public service.
Speaking at the awarding ceremony in Malacañang, President Marcos cited the CESOs’ impact on government reform and their commitment to a more inclusive and sustainable society.
“Congratulations on being the worthy recipients of the Presidential Gawad CES. I’m sure your achievements will serve as an inspiration to all CESOs present and those listening,” the President said.
“As public servants, our CESOs have the power to reform our government and our country. You are instrumental in creating a more inclusive and sustainable society for our citizens,” he added.
He also noted the CES’s increased occupancy rate, now at 50%, aligning with the Philippine Development Plan 2023 to 2028.
He specifically commended Regional Director Josefina Abilay, Assistant Secretary Teresa Camba, Schools Division Superintendent Miguel Aposin, and OIC Deputy Executive Director Eduardo Quilang for their outstanding contributions.
The chief executive urged all civil servants to embrace the core values of patriotism, excellence, integrity, and spirituality, stressing the importance of these values in shaping a stable and effective government.
“I challenge you to join me in reinventing ourselves as civil servants and the bureaucracy, to provide the stability and continuity we will need for our long-term programs and visions for them to succeed,” President Marcos stated.
