IN celebration of the 68 years of Japan-Philippines Friendship, and 70 years of the Japan Self-Defense Force (JSDF), the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) – Central Band staged a series of performances around Metro Manila last July 4-6.
The JASDF Central Band dazzled audiences with their performances at the Rizal Park and the Shangri-La Plaza Mall, celebrating the vibrant friendship between Japan and the Philippines through the universal language of music.
On July 4, the JASDF Central Band kicked off the festivities with a special performance at the Manila Japanese School (MJS) in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
The band performed a medley of hits to an enthusiastic audience of MJS students and faculty. The JASDF Central Band and the PAF String Ensemble also performed a unique musical collaboration at the Ambassador’s residence to highlight the festivities of the 70th JSDF Day Reception.
