AirAsia Philippines is advising air travelers to ensure they have necessary medical certificates and other health documents if they are traveling with a pregnant or medically ill loved one.

The airline states that medical certificates have a 10-day validity period upon issuance.

“If any medical equipment on board such as a portable oxygen concentrator or any mobility device (including battery powered mobility device) is required during your trip, make sure it follows the allowable limit.”

Airlines reserve the right to refuse carriage to passengers who do not comply with applicable laws, regulations, and requirements.

This is among the reminders that AirAsia is providing to travelers in order to help them prepare and ensure a hassle-free travel experience, especially with an expected increase in travelers from midyear until December.

The airline also urged travelers to avoid bringing sharp objects, flammable materials, and large electronic devices like hoverboards during their trips.

AirAsia’s Head for Communications & Public Affairs, Steve Dailisan, emphasizes the importance of adequate preparation and proactiveness in travel.

“These simple tips are often neglected but an essential part of one’s travels. We certainly want to take part in your memorable travels but there are certain rules that we have to strictly implement in view of safety,” said Dailisan, adding that ‘nothing beats adequate preparation.”

Dailisan advises travelers to check the terms and conditions of carriage or take advantage of the AskBo feature on the AirAsia MOVE app for any concern.

This feature allows guests to self-check-in 14 days ahead of their scheduled departure time, which is designed for business travelers and those who are frequently on the go, and aim to maximize their time and overall airport experience.
