PNP Chief activates 4 new police stations in Iloilo City, boosting security measures

To enhance public safety, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil has activated four new police stations in Iloilo City, expanding its capacity for quick and efficient law enforcement response.

The new police stations are strategically located at: Police Station 7 in Tanza Esperanza, City Proper; Police Station 8 in Barrio Obrero in Lapuz; Police Station 9 in M.H. Del Pilar, Jaro; Police Station 10 in Iloilo City Center (ICC) Mandurriao.

Marbil led the blessing, inauguration, and groundbreaking ceremonies for several key projects initiated by PNP Western Visayas.

These included the groundbreaking of a P65-million two-storey Information, Communication, and Command Center, funded by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Western Visayas, through the efforts of Iloilo City Lone District Rep. Julienne Baronda.

Marbil also attended the blessing and inauguration of the Adoration Mini Park, the groundbreaking for a drainage and flood control system, the inauguration of a road network facilitated by Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr., and the blessing of a multi-purpose building.

During the events, the PNP Chief expressed his gratitude to all police personnel in the region, highlighting their dedication to implementing key programs. He pledged ongoing support for Western Visayas, ensuring the continuous improvement of public service and law enforcement.

“The addition of these police stations aims to expedite police response times and effectively address criminal activities in the city,” Marbil stated

Police Major Shiella Mae Sangrines, spokesperson for the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), affirmed their unit’s commitment to serving and assisting the residents of Iloilo City.

“We are ready to provide the necessary support and services to ensure the peace and order of our city,” Sangrines declared.
