IN what may be viewed as premature political campaign, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. has declared his intention to run for Congress in the May 2025 elections.
Lazatin made the revelation during a political rally last Friday, June 28, at the Magalang Plaza with the political leaders of the province’s first legislative district in attendance.
The rally was described as the “biggest political event in the history of the district in terms of logistivcs and preparation.”
Present wwere Gov. Dennis Pineda, Rep. Carmelo Lazatin II, Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo, and Magalang Mayor Malu Lacson.
The chairmen of 85 barangays out of 87 in the district and various sectoral representatives were also present. During the event, Lazatin unveiled his legislative agenda for the First District, which centers on a single principle—‘no one will be left behind’—focusing on delivering public services to all sectors from all walks of life.
