Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Junior met on Wednesday new Defense and Armed Forces Attachés (DAFA) marking new diplomatic missions from each representing country.

According to AFP Public Affairs Office Chief Colonel Xerxes Trinidad, Brawner welcomed incoming Defense and Armed Forces Attaché to Russia Col. Franklin Fabic PA, Col. Joseph Jeremias Cirilo Dator PA (GSC) who will serve as DAFA to Spain, Col. Emerson Delos Santos PN(M) (GSC) who will take on the role of DAFA to Indonesia, and Captain Peter Tolentino III PN (GSC) who will represent DAFA to Japan in Camp Aguinaldo.

“Each personnel has been selected for their outstanding qualifications and dedication to advancing overseas Philippine defense interests,” Trinidad said.

During the meeting, General Brawner expressed appreciation for the outgoing DAFA, Col. Arthur Romanillos Jr. PA, and Commodore Salvador Henry Quinto PN, who diligently executed their exemplary service and significant contributions to strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing defense cooperation during their tenures.

“General Brawner emphasized the critical roles of Defense and Armed Forces Attachés in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between the Philippines and partner countries at a strategic level,” Trinidad added.

AFP, on the other hand, assured that they remain committed to enhancing its global presence and ensuring its diplomatic corps continues to effectively represent Philippine interests on the international stage.
