Marcos declares October 30 as National Day of Charity

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared October 30 as the “National Day of Charity” through Proclamation No. 598.

“Bagong Pilipinas, as the overarching theme of the Administration’s brand of governance and leadership, calls for deep and fundamental transformations in all sectors of society and government, and visions to emphasize compassion, solidarity, and social responsibility among Filipinos,” the proclamation said.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) will lead and coordinate the annual observance, organizing programs and activities.

Government agencies, local government units, nongovernmental organizations, and the private sector are encouraged to participate.
