Southern Police District (SPD) Director Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete commended his men for apprehending 78 individuals and seizing illegal drugs valued at more than P3 million.
The police official announced that weeklong operations from June 5 to 11 led to the confiscation of prohibited drugs, including 459.19 grams of shabu, 27.7 grams of marijuana, and 0.78 grams of kush.
“We are proud of this achievement in combating illegal drugs, demonstrating a commitment to law and order through effective operations, resulting in significant arrests and drug seizures,” Rosete said.
He emphasized the SPD’s commitment to eradicating illegal drugs in southern Metro Manila, aiming to create a safer and more prosperous future for all residents.
Just recently, the SPD also arrested two big-time drug dealers and seized 1.8 kilos of shabu with a street value of P12.44 million. The suspects are high-value individuals on the Philippine National Police Drug Watchlist.
“We will maintain without letup our collaboration with other law enforcement agencies so that our aggressive stance against the anti-illegal drugs campaign will continue to cease drug menace, especially in our area of responsibility,” Rosete said.
The SPD is also implementing the PNP’s simultaneous anti-crime and law enforcement operation (SACLEO) campaign to maintain peace and order in the community. This targets illegal drug personalities, most wanted persons, loose firearm bearers, illegal gamblers, and city ordinance violators in identified areas.
