PLDT Home partners with SM to launch e-waste recycling drive
PLDT Home, in partnership with Smart, SM Cares, and SM Cyberzone, launched an e-waste recycling drive called #PLDTHomeBeKindRecycle in time for the Earth Day celebration on Monday. The initiative aims to promote responsible disposal of electronic waste and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Special e-waste recycling bins will soon be placed in select SM Supermalls and PLDT-Smart Sales & Service Centers. Residents can drop off their old electronic devices at these bins, which will then be processed by PLDT Home’s recycling partners.
“We are grateful to our partners for making this happen,” said John Gregory Y. Palanca, SVP for Sales & Development, PLDT-Smart, at the launch of the program. “I look at these boxes, it’s probably the most beautiful execution for a sustainable box.”
PLDT Home brand ambassador Denise Laurel also expressed her support for the program.
“You’re helping the future of the next generation. The population is getting bigger, the world is getting smaller as it heals so any ounce of help we can do for the future, for the next generation, gives a lot of comfort to mothers like me,” said the actress. “Of course, it makes me happy as an advocate and an avid customer, I’m glad that I support the right companies.”
