Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) has announced a one-month suspension of its flight operations at Pagadian Airport starting April 15.

The suspension is due to runway surface repairs by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), which will be completed by May 15, 2024.

“As safety is of paramount concern, operations will be suspended until the works have been completed and we have assessed and confirmed that the runway is safe for landing and take-off,” the CEB management said in a statement.

The airline will cancel flights to and from Cebu and Manila, including Flights DG 6639 and 6640 (Cebu – Pagadian – Cebu); Flights DG 6641 and 6642 (Cebu – Pagadian – Cebu); Flights 5J 771 and 772 (Manila – Pagadian – Manila); Flights 5J 773 and 774 (Manila – Pagadian – Manila).

However, the management is planning additional recovery flights to Ozamiz, where the affected passengers will be automatically re-accommodated. These are Flights DG 6795 and 6796 (Cebu – Ozamiz – Cebu) and Flights 5J 3191 and 3192 (Manila – Ozamiz – Manila).

CEB offers passengers the option to make flight rebooking or rerouting, store a travel fund in a valid CEB wallet, or receive a full refund of their ticket.

“CEB is working closely with CAAP regarding this matter. We thank our passengers for their patience and understanding,” it stated.
