BERLIN—”Ito ang schedule ko oh, saan ‘yung pasyal? (Here’s my schedule, where’s the sightseeing?)”
This was how President Marcos responded to the latest tirades made by his predecessor Rodrigo Duterte, who spoke at a rally in Manila Tuesday night.
Speaking to the Philippine media delegation in Germany, Mr. Marcosshowed his schedule to prove that he is not having leisure time duringforeign trips.
”It’s my schedule for today. Where’s the (leisure time?). Wala. You know, kasama ko… we don’t make ‘pasyal,’ even in the places that I spent a lot of time with, ‘di ko napupuntahan ‘yung mga dati kong pinupuntahan because we’re here to do this,” the President said.
(There’s no sightseeing. Our group is not here on tour. Even in theplaces that I spent a lot of times with, I haven’t visited because we’re here to work.)
The President and the Philippine delegation were en route to Prague last night for his two-day state visit to the Czech Republic, after spending the last two days in the German capital.
