A janitor of SM City Baliwag displayed exemplary honesty after returning P104,800 worth of cash to a mall visitor, the mall’s management reported.
John David Sulit personally appeared at the Customer Relations Service (CRS) office of the mall to turn over the cash wrapped in plastic.
According to Sulit, he recovered the said cash from the urinal’s ledge while doing his rounds in one of the comfort rooms.
SM City Baliwag said the money was quickly returned to its owner, Ramil Manalastas of Mapaniqui, Candaba, Pampanga, who expressed his gratitude toward Sulit and the entire CRS team for the recovery of his cash.
The SM City Baliwag management has commended Sulit for his exemplary honesty and dedication to his work.
This is not the first time SM Bulacan malls’ personnel were able to return valuables left by mall patrons.
On June 2021, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, mall security guard Rodel Victorino of SM Center Pulilan returned a wallet containing P46,798 he found while on duty. The guard’s actions also earned praise from management.
