PCSO defends editing winners’ pics

The head of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office defended Friday the poor editing of a photo of the winner of P43-million Lotto 6/42 jackpot, saying the image was meant to conceal the identity of the bettor.

PCSO General Manager Mel Robles told TeleRadyo Serbisyo the photo was edited but insisted there is a real winner after the Senate raised questions about the veracity of all recent Lotto winners.

The lottery agency began offering jackpots in excess of P500 million last month as an anniversary offering to the public, which have since been won.

Robles said the PCSO had started to edit photos of the winners after one previous winner complained she was identified because her shirt was clearly visible.
