THE Social Security System on Friday announced the start of the distribution of the 13th-month pensions for members on Dec. 1.
Deputy spokesperson Marisa Mapalo said the distribution for the pensions will be on Dec. 1 for those with a date of contingency from 1 to 15.
The rest will be released on Dec. 4, she added.
The 13th-month pay is equivalent to the pensioner’s monthly
pension, she said.
All pensioners, including retiree and surviving pensioners, or
those who accept pensions in lieu of their deceased family members
shall receive the 13th-month pay.
SSS shall release both the monthly pension and the 13th-month pay
in December, Mapalo said.
