“This significant step underscores the PNP’s unwavering vow to ensuring that its personnel adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. It leaves a powerful note that those who engage in unlawful activities and misdemeanors will face the appropriate consequences, including dismissal from the service when necessary,” the statement said.

PNP Chief Police General Benjamin C. Acorda Jr., commented on this milestone, stating: “The PNP is strengthening its Internal Disciplinary Mechanism and intensifies efforts in reiterating the Doctrine of Command Responsibility and Police Operational Procedures to every member on the ground.”

“We are bringing across our message to the people that the PNP leadership strongly condemn any wrongdoing of its few misguided members.”

Acorda also emphasized the PNP’s continuous cleaning of its ranks and purging of few corrupt police officers, as “there are more honorable policemen remaining.”

“The PNP remains steadfast in maintaining the trust and confidence of the Filipino people. As it continues its mission to serve and protect, the PNP aims to build a force that truly exemplifies integrity, honor, and dedication,” the statement added.
