Ex-SC justice named DBP chairman

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed former Supreme Court Associate Justice Dante Tiñga as chairman of the Development Bank of the Philippines.

Tiñga took his oath of office before Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin at the Palace yesterday.

He has previously served as a three-term representative of what was then the lone district of Taguig-Pateros.

Tiñga obtained his law degree at the University of the East, where he eventually served as dean of the College of Law twice.

He earned his Master of Laws degree from the University of California.
