Housing launches two more new projects in Nueva Ecija

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development has launched two more shelter projects in Nueva Ecija that will serve as a new standard for future housing projects in the country.

Secretary Eduardo del Rosario said the housing project in the towns of San Leonardo’s Barangay San Roque and Talavera’s Barangay Lomboy is a subdivision-like development of roads and drainage systems.

The DHSUD through the private developers’ incentivized compliance to a balanced housing program provided land development assistance for the municipalities’ informal settler families living along danger zones and those who did not own lots.

Del Rosario said the subdivision-like resettlement project is another promise fulfilled for the housing and urban development sector by the Duterte administration.

“I am glad about the result of our cooperation and collaboration among the national government, local government unit, and the private sector that resulted in a very wonderful project,” he said.

Barely two weeks before he steps down from his post, the housing czar said he is proud to be of service to his countrymen and even vowed that DHSUD would still continue providing quality and unwavering shelter-related assistance to Filipino families, especially the underserved.

Over 100 ISFs stand to benefit from the resettlement project located in Talavera, while 60 housing units were already constructed in San Leonardo by the National Housing Authority.
