Villar, ACT-CIS top RPMD poll

Mark Villar, ACT-CIS consistently topped the senatorial and party-list survey by RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc.

Based on the latest survey results from the RP-Mission and Development Foundation (RPMD) former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary and senatorial candidate Mark A. Villar topped again in the senatorial survey for the upcoming May 2022 election, with a 72.6% voter preference.

The poll was conducted from April 17-21, using face-to-face interviews with 10,000 respondents nationwide. It has a (+/) 1% sampling error margin for national percentages.

Mark Villar (72.6%) was followed by Antique Representative Loren Legarda (67.1%), Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero (61.5%), broadcaster Raffy Tulfo (60.3%), former House Speaker Alan Cayetano (53.8%) and Sen. Win Gatchalian (52.4%).

Also included in the list of preferred senatorial candidates ranking 7th to 12th place were Sen. Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri (51.7%), former Vice President Jejomar “Jojo” Binay (44.8%), Filipino film actor Robin Padilla (43.6%), former Senator Gringo Honasan (43.2%), Sen. Joel Villanueva (37.5%), former Senator JV Estrada Ejercito (34.8%)

Close behind the Magic twelve are former Senator Jinggoy Estrada (33.5%), Senator Dick Gordon (31.2%), Senator Risa Hontiveros (30.8%), former Presidential Spokesperson Sec. Harry Roque (29.6%), former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro (26.3%) and former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista (25.1%).

The RPMD also released the top party list for the upcoming elections, and it emerged that ACT-CIS is still the “preferred choice” with 7.83%, followed by An Waray (6.79%), Ang Probinsiyano (5.86%), Ako Bicol (5.75%), Gabriela (4.62%), Senior Citizens (3.38%), A Teacher (3.15%), 1-PACMAN (2.74%), 4Ps (2.65%), AGAP (2.53%), Bayan Muna (2.37 %), and BH-Bagong Henerasyon (2.32%).

For the 13th to 25th position, they are as follows: Tingog (2.23%), Malasakit at Bayanihan (2.18%), Magsasaka (2.15%), AGRI Partylist (2.11%), PDP Cares (2.10 %), Anakpawis (1.78%), Kabataan (1.75%), Duterte Youth (1.64%), PASAHERO (1.45%) AMIN (1.38%), AAMBIS-OWA (1.25%), BUHAY (1.23%), and DIWA (1.16%).

Former public works chief Villar and ACT-CIS party list also came up on top of RPMD’s preferred senatorial candidate survey last February and March 2022.
