A Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan stalwart at the House of Representatives has assured an “overwhelming victory” for former Senator Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Davao Cty Mayor Sara Duterte in the city in the coming May 9, 2022 elections.

UNITEAM IN TAGUIG CITY. Rep. Rida Robes of San Jose del Monte City in Bulacan, made the statement as stressed “80 percent” of their constituents will cast their vote for the BBM-Sara tandem on election day.

“They will win because in our survey BBM is at 61 percent, Mayor Inday is 53 percent,” Rep. Robes said.

“There is no doubt that they will win because they have the people’s support. You just can feel it and they openly show their support to the Uniteam. More than 80 percent will vote here. They will win overwhelmingly here,” she added.

Robes maintained that 21 mayors of vote-rich Bulacan already expressed their support to the BBM-Sara Uniteam.

Thirteen of them signed a manifesto of support for Marcos and Duterte. Some of the signatories are Mayors Arthur Robes of SJDM, Eladio Gonzales Jr. of Balagtas, Jose Santiago Jr. of Bocaue, Francis Albert Juan of Bustos, Ricky Silvestre of Marilao, Mary Ann Marcos of Paombong, Roderick Tiongson of San Miguel, Cipriano Violago Jr. of San Rafael, Raulito Manlapaz of Hagonoy, Edwin Santos of Obando, Russel Pleyto of Sta. Maria, Narding de Leon of Angat, Ferdie Estrella of Baliuag, and Vergel Meneses of Bulakan.

Robes, who sits as chair of the House committee on people’s participation, together with her husband, SJDM Mayor Arthur Robes, gave a rousing welcome to Duterte when she visited the city Saturday for her “Sara para sa Barangay” campaign where she met with local and sectoral officials in Bulacan.

The female legislator also earlier met with Marcos in his headquarters in Mandaluyong City last Friday in which she pledged her support for him saying he will be a good leader because he has a good heart.

“We know what the people need. You have a good heart. You can really lead the country. All we have to do is support you, to let the people vote for you. For all of us here in our own districts, we have to make this campaign real,” she said.

In her speech, Duterte said the UniTeam would unite Filipinos sans political colors to address the pandemic with dispatch and create more jobs and livelihood opportunities for Filipinos.

She also reminded the voters to bring sample ballots on election day for them to completely exercise their right to suffrage.
