Angeles made the call in her speech at the UniTeam political rally in Tarlac City with standard-bearer Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio in attendance.

This as leaders of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) in Tarlac endorsed the UniTeam tandem.

The coalition was formed by the late business tycoon Eduardo Cojuangco Jr. It is now headed by Senate President Vicente Sotto III, who is running for vice president in tandem with Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson.“I have been tasked to relay the commitment of the party, of the NPC in our province, to support the UniTeam tandem,” said Rep. Victor Yap.

The UniTeam candidates took turns in addressing their supporters in Tarlac, the home province and political bailiwick of the Aquino-Cojuangco clans.

“You know, this is history in the making – a Marcos setting foot in the city of Tarlac. The clash of colors is over. He is here now to foster true unity and lead us to greater progress because all of us will be united and will help each other,” Angeles said in Filipino.

She pointed out that Marcos “is worthy to lead not only in Tarlac City, but in the whole country as well.”

“We need what is needed by all. We need unity, that is why it is time to change, it is the time for the BBM-Sara Uniteam. Let us unite,” Angeles said.

She later told reporters that Filipinos should put away acrimony and fractiousness.

“It’s time for forgiveness and healing. Let us unite,” she said.

Angeles predicted that the Marcos-Duterte tandem would win not only in her city but in the entire province of Tarlac as well.

Duterte-Carpio thanked Angeles and the Tarlaqueños for their warm welcome and support for her team.

“To all of you, thank you so much for the time and opportunity you have given us this morning to be with you, get to know you and be able to give a message for all of you,” she said.

Former Tarlac congressman and now UniTeam senatorial candidate Gilberto Teodoro Jr. introduced Duterte-Carpio to his provincemates.

The UniTeam started its provincial visit with a motorcade, followed by the rally in Tarlac City.

Marcos and Duterte-Carpio later met with local officials and sectoral representatives led by Gov. Susan Yap at Diwa ng Tarlac facility.
