Duterte flies to Thailand & Malaysia

President Rodrigo Duterte is now on his way to Thailand.

His trip to Bangkok is meant to condole with the Thai royal family for the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

After a few hours, he will proceed to Malaysia where he has a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak.

In his departure speech at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 on Wednesday morning, Duterte stressed the importance of the Philippines’ economic cooperation with Malaysia.

He will also discuss with Malaysian officials the issues on maritime security, the campaign against illegal drugs and the peace process in Mindanao.
