Duterte off to Vietnam on Wednesday

President Rodrigo Duterte is set to pay a courtesy call to Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang when he visits Vietnam two days from now.

He will also hold a meeting with the Filipino community in Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital.

Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Charles Jose estimates, about 3,800 Filipinos live and work in Vietnam.

The trip is a result of the bilateral meeting between Duterte and Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit in Laos last September 6, 2016.
