LPA develops into tropical depression “Enteng”

The Low Pressure Area (LPA) near Batanes has developed into a tropical depression.

PAGASA calls it “Enteng.”

Enteng is currently located 703 kilometers northeast of Itbayat.

It carries maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of 80 kph.

The weather bureau has not raised any typhoon signal warning since the tropical depression is far from landmass.

“Enteng” does not directly affect the country’s weather conditions but PAGASA says, it can enhance the southwest monsoon.

The tropical depression is expected to exit PAR on Friday.
