Dela Rosa presents anti-drug campaign to Senate

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Ronald dela Rosa made a presentation of the PNP’s campaign against illegal drugs.

He reported that 756 drug suspects have been killed as a result of police operations.

Dela Rosa also said, 9 cops and 3 soldiers have died in the intensified anti-drug campaign.

He stressed that crime incidents have significantly gone down from July 1 this year.

The PNP head made the presentation in the Senate at the investigation on alleged extrajudicial killings.

‘The PNP’s relentless campaign against drugs continues to gain momentum,” he reported to the senators.

He also related the positive response of the general public on their anti-drug efforts.

The Senate, through the Committees on Justice and Public order, is on second day of hearings.

In Tuesday’s proceeding, senators will take turns asking questions on Dela Rosa and the witnesses that gave testimonies on Monday.

At least 16 senators intend to participate in the Q and A.
