In a year of consolidation in the run-up to the launch of the new products in 2016, Maserati hogged the limelight at the Shanghai Auto Show with the China premiere of the Maserati Ghibli Ermenegildo Zegna Edition Concept, which takes the stage alongside the all-wheel-drive 2015 Maserati Quattroporte S Q4, supported by the complete product range of the various Quattroporte and Ghibli models and the centennial editions of sporty GranTurismo Centennial and  GranCabrio.

SHOW STEALER: Maserati Quattroporte S Q4

China market, with 9,400 unites and growth of 148% compared to 2013, confirmed its status as Maserati’s second largest market. It is a growth based on 43 dealership expansion and sales boosted by the best-selling Quattroporte and Ghibli versions equipped with 330HP Twin Turbo engine and rear-wheel drive.

The exciting momentum of 2014 will be sustained in 2015 with the introduction of the new edition of Quattroporte and Ghibli, which strengthens the sustantial representation of the brand’s range. Maserati China is dedicated to the enhancement of high quality product, supreme service and customer experience offerings that ensures steady growth of businss in China and sets the solid foundation for a new height of success in the year to come.

The show-stealer is the package of the Twin Turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine with 410 horse power mounted on the recently introduced Quattroporte S Q4, to deliver another distinct performance point for the rear wheel driven Quattroporte 330 hp and Quattroporte GTS 530 hp, already available on the market. The Twin Turbo V6 engine utilizes much of the Twin Turbo V8’s already-proven technology, including its variable valve timing, its valve drive system and its direct fuel injection.

If a choice of two versions wasn’t enough, the Quattroporte now also offers the option of the Q4 all-wheel drive system to create the safest all-weather performance and high grip car in Maserati’s history. The Q4 system delivers the responsiveness of a traditional Maserati rear-wheel drive combined with the added security that only an all-wheel drive can bring in critical situations, almost without creating extra fuel consumption. The system leaves the front wheels passive until they are needed to help with traction and then they are instantly and intelligently engaged. The Maserati Q4 all-wheel-drive system is available with the V6 410hp engine and perfectly matches the grand touring qualities expected of a high performance Maserati sedan, whatever the road conditions.
