Caloocan dad sets ‘Tiktok’ challenge

Millenial Councilor Orvince Howard A. Hernandez of Caloocan City has launched a Tiktok challenge for mothers and grandmothers to celebrate Mother’s Day on May 9.

Dubbed as ‘Tiktoker si Mader,’ Hernandez announced that 10 winners will selected and will receive P5,000 each, flowers, and plaques of recognition. Consolation prizes await those who will not be selected.

Mothers and even grandmothers are encouraged to join the Tiktok challenge, Hernandez said. Contestants together with their daughters may send in their entries consisting of 2-3 minute dance video through FB page of Vince Hernandez starting on May 2, 2021.

Deadline for submission of entries is on May 7. Winners will be made known on May 9, Mother’s Day.

Criteria for judging include 50 percent for social media engagement, 20 percent for concept and creativity, and 30 percent for overall impact.

This is may way of paying tribute to all mothers, said Hernandez.
