And there was light, at home, by simply using your voice.

Objects are becoming smarter by the minute that even our lights can be controlled not only with a switch or a button but with our phone, our voice, our movements. And they now do more than turning on and off, too.

French-Asian lighting software solutions company WiZ Connected brings to the Philippines its range of lights and accessories that brings the perks of smart lighting at more affordable prices.

WiZ Connected offers a range of lights and accessories at entry-level prices.

Plug and play

To enjoy the system, simply screw in the WiZ light and download the intuitive WiZ mobile app. The latest products from the company are installed with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dual-protocol chips for an easier and more reliable pairing process.

Users can then set the perfect light to study, create a cozy setting by mimicking a fireplace or candlelight and synchronize lights with their daily schedule through a vast range of modes on the app.

The intuitive WiZ mobile app features a drag and drop system to manage
lights and accessories installed at home.

“The WiZ app’s interface is user-friendly and intuitive with an easy drag and drop system to manage lights and accessories,” the company, which has been acquired by Signify (formerly Philips Lighting), said in a statement.

For instance, users can set the circadian rhythm to automatically choose the type of light depending on the time—shifting from cool light in the morning to soft light in the evening.

Other family members and guests can also control the smart lighting system through the mobile app.

Other ways to manage lights

In addition to the app, the lighting system can also be managed through voice control with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or Siri shortcuts.

Smart accessories such as the universal WiZmote helps customize lighting modes for each room. The WiZ motion sensor, meanwhile, turns on lights to a predefined setting as a person enters a room even without Wi-Fi.

The WiZ smart plug instantly turns any light into a smart light—allowing for control through the app or remote.

Ready to bring the smart light in? The starter WiFi + Bluetooth kits’ prices start at P2,265. The WiZ full-color strip starts at P895. Prices for the smart accessories WiZmote and WiZ motion sensor start at P995. While the WiZ LED full-color downlight starts at P895.

The aforementioned products are available in hardware stores and on Shopee and Lazada.
