On neutral ground

Direct fashion forces to a different line of denim combat. Instead of vibrant blues, taking its post this season are army-themed pieces with a desaturated color scheme.

Leading the style squad is SM Youth, with a collection of denim and complementary-to-denim pieces that champion the hype for on-trend, somber-toned street wear.

Get a feel of the collection through a thorough inspection of their outerwear: military almost-purists will want to get their hands on a two-toned structured jacket, blocking classic army brown against deep grays and silver hardware.

Urbanized flight jackets also come in sporty details in the form of subtle stripe details. An oversized parka also cinches the theme in oversized whitewashed gray. T-shirts and button-downs may look classic at first glance, but it’s the detail that stir the pieces to fashionable direction: take classic white tees with extended round necks and lengthy sleeves, and high-neck mauve sweaters attached with a rogue patch one shade darker.

Classic t-shirts, structured jackets and tailored denim bottoms are some of the pieces in  SM Youth's collection

Pants are also no exception to the theme, as tailored denim bottoms hug limbs in stylish dark washed or stonewashed fabric, while khaki jeans in military olive and beige camo come into play.

Fronting the campaign are SM Youth’s resident ambassadors Tommy Esguerra, LA Aguinaldo, Richard Juan and Janna Tee, in monochromatic pairings of the collections’ pieces. But, this SM Youth Denim collection is meant for superfluous styling—its cohesive color palette and unifying military-urban theme is a cinch to mix-and-match, supplying its wearer multiple fashion ammo enough for daily wear.
