New World Makati Hotel and AG New World Manila Bay recently concluded its second annual Golf Cup 2017 at the Orchard Golf and Country Club.
This year’s tournament named the young scholars of the Springboard Foundation as beneficiaries; with its success ensuring six years of private high school education for 16 underprivileged students.
“We are very pleased to announce that we have raised half a million pesos for the scholars of Springboard Foundation through the help of our sponsors and participants. This will enable these children to receive quality education critical to their future. New World Hotels and Resorts strongly advocates access to education; and it’s a pleasure to be able to do this while also creating camaraderie and be an instrument for change,” says Farid Schoucair, New World Makati Hotel GM.
With a team score of 64, the winning flight was comprised of Antonio Payumo, Javier Berenguer-Testa, Roberto David, and Raymond Lacdao. In second place with a team score of 68 were Vedit Kurangil, Diana Kurangil, Paul Carpio, and Jeff Green. Third place winners were Rene Policarpio, Celso Villegas, Joey Yujuico, and Willie Pelino. Winners took home trophies and gift certificates from New World Hotels and Resorts.
