Local finds, artisanal products, imported goods, and a few surprises here and there all in one place make bazaar shopping an experience quite unique that malls nationwide mount them especially during the holiday season.

Here are some fairs and bazaars currently ongoing and are soon to open to the public:

Bagsakan Fair, Fairview Terraces, Quezon City

The initiative, born out of the desire to help farmers reach their customers easily, Bagsakan Special Project, comes to Quezon City in a bigger format, featuring over 30 local MSMEs sprawled across 6,500-square meter of space.

Bagsakan Fair, made possible by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP) in coordination with DTI Regional and Provincial offices, brings the best products from local farmers, fruit growers, and social cooperatives who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and other natural calamities. The event aims to showcase world-class products and help farmers and small entrepreneurs grow their businesses.

To ensure safety among shoppers at Fairview Terraces, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, who graced the launch on Dec. 1, said, “The Bagsakan Fair is being generously hosted in 6,500 square meters of retail space so we can minimize crowds and follow the public health standards as we celebrate the holiday spirit.”

The fair opens with 32 local brands (seven from Bataan, one from Bulacan, one from Laguna, six from Quezon, and 17 from NCR), and will eventually increase in number within the allotted retail space—on the second and third floors of the mall—from December to February 2021.
