Healing powers of pulses and LED light

Stimulating pulses are said to ease muscle soreness, manipulate nerves, and improve blood circulation. This is why massage devices are very popular, they give instant relief and somehow improve condition.

Proper circulation is the key to optimal health because aside from keeping our organs in good working condition, it also helps fight infection and diseases because the white blood cells are properly transported to areas where they are most needed.

Certain health conditions that come with age may lead to poor circulation. For example, atherosclerosis occurs when there is plaque buildup in the blood vessels. Diabetes can also cause circulation problems, along with blood clots which can lead to heart attack. Overweight individuals are also in danger because added weight increases the risk of blood pressure problems and varicose veins.

While the pulses in massage devices can provide relief, there is a more advanced method that utilizes LED light and meridian pulse technology.

The Smartron combination stimulator (manufactured by AinA) uses pulses and LED light to energize body meridians, promote circulation, strengthen muscles, and alleviate pain. To achieve this, patients need to grip the consoles’ handles and rest their feet on special pads so that low frequency waves can invigorate their body meridians. The vibrations can easily be felt, and the intensity of the pulses can be increased depending on the patient’s comfort level.

The meridian pulse improves circulation and strengthen muscles, while the LED removes inflammation and aids in cell reproduction.

The AinA Smartron was brought to the Philippines by Dr. Kwang Bum Hur, a physician and certified acupuncturist from South Korea. “The Smartron was developed under the research and development program of the Korean government,” he said.

The healing process follows the principle of acupuncture, but instead of using needles to unblock the chi, or the energy flow, low frequency waves are repeatedly used to stimulate energy. Patients can expect improvements after several sessions according to Dr. Kwang. “If you are sick, minimum of one hour therapy every day, for one month. For wellness, at least 30 minutes a day,” he said.

A 68-year-old stroke patient could hardly move her arms and legs when she was brought to the AinA center. She had a daily one-hour therapy, and after several weeks, there was less numbness in her hands and feet. She was able to walk and use her hands.

A bedridden diabetic patient was able to stand up and walk after several weeks of therapy. Her treatment required two sessions daily. The first hour was for her upper body, and the next hour for her lower body. After a few weeks, she was able to move and was no longer confined to her bed.

Those who wish to avail of the free therapy can visit the AinA centers in Muñoz, Quezon City; Sucat, Parañaque; Baliuag, Bulacan; and Davao. The centers were established in support of Dr. Kwang’s commitment to promote Oriental medicine in the country. Success stories of patients who were cured can be viewed on the center’s Facebook pages.

Smartron therapy sessions are also offered at Holimedic Clinic in Ortigas Center, Pasig. Rates start at P300 for 30 minutes. Because of the pandemic, clients need to book in advance. The clinic also offers acupuncture, moxibustion, Dorn treatment, neuromuscular therapy, and other Oriental and alternative medical treatments.

Those who wish to rent or purchase their own Smartron can also inquire at Holimedic. By the way, aside from treating illnesses, the pulsating waves also have anti-aging properties, burn fat, and aid in cell regeneration.
