This is how a statuesque commercial director of an Italian luxury bathroom fixtures company describes the importance of taking a time off to take care of oneself in an environment where they feel pampered and relaxed.
And with bathroom being the most intimate part of the house, Alessandra Fagotti said it should have all the trappings that provide a desirable experience, or as she put it, “a sensorial experience” that satisfies the five senses.
“To create an atmosphere in your bathroom is to have the luxury you can give to yourself—the emotional experience of a shower head, of a bathtub, the soft touch of the water—it makes a difference,” Fagotti told Manila Standard.
She added, “If you spend even just five minutes in a wonderful environment, that's a big gift to yourself.”
Fagotti was recently in the country to unveil Zucchetti, an Italian family-owned company that manufactures design-led and innovative taps and mixers; and Kos, known for its luxurious bathtubs and shower enclosures. The two company merged in 2007 to create Zucchetti.Kos, one of the Italy's leading manufacturers of luxury bathroom fixtures.
Zucchetti.Kos has been brought to the Philippines by The Tile Gallery. Some of the products of the Italian brand are now available in the country, including the award-winning WaterCandy.
Designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba, WaterCandy is a minimalistic hand shower that can also be used as a body massager by utilizing the hydrotherapeutic properties of water. At the same time, it can stimulate vital energies, thanks to jets of different intensity and flow that can be adjusted according to the user's needs.
The hand shower is easy to hold using the handy strap on the back, or attach to a coordinated duplex shower support or to any existing system as it has a universal plug and play adapter.
Also available is the Aloe freestanding tub by Kos. Also with minimalist design, the bathtub is made of high performance Solid Surface and extra-pure acrylic polymers and monomers. Its surface is smooth, and it has slender design and gentle curves, lending an elegant look and pleasant feel.
The country now has access to several collections of single-lever bathroom mixers such as Brim (also designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba), Closer (designed by Diego Grandi), and Nikko; bathtubs and shower heads; and shower trays such as the new Silkstone tray.
“The reason Zucchetti is recognized is because it's a trendsetter in terms of design. We take ideas from fashion, lighting, etc. Most of our series are designed by famous international designers,” said Fagotti.
Zucchetti.Kos' notable projects include the Sukhothai Bangkok, Ritz Carlton Miami, and Sheraton among many others.
The Italian firm is confident that our country is ready for its range of of products.
“The Philippines is a very western market and we believe its is ready to accept and exeprience the philosophy Zuccheti.Kos can offer,” said Fagotti.
