According to the latest figures from Australia-based Institute for Economics and Peace, Taiwan ranks second in the top 10 safest countries in the world behind Iceland. Well-known travel guide Lonely Planet featured Taitung in Taiwan on its list of the Top 10 best travel attractions in Asia in 2016. In November 2015, Taiwan has simplified the visa application process, requiring fewer documents, and now all eligible quality-tour groups can apply. 

Now is the time to visit Taiwan. 

The delegation comprising of Taiwan travel business operators that the Taiwan Tourism Bureau has brought together to promote Taiwan tourism in the Philippines have 29 people from 18 units. A Taiwan tourism workshop was held at the Radison Blu Hotel in Cebu on Sept. 20  to promote cooperation between travel business operators from Taiwan and the Philippines. The second tourism workshop was at the Edsa Shangri-La yesterday. 

Information on the latest bargains were given to Filipino travel agencies at the venue to allow them to put together travel packages and create more cooperation opportunities between the two sides. 

The 2016 Taiwan Travel Fair is ongoing at SM Megamall until Sunday. The Taiwan Tourism Bureau will serve up the latest travel information and a variety of fun DIY activities.

Four airlines from Taiwan and the Philippines and 12 travel agencies, namely Cebu Pacific Air, China Airlines, Eva Air, Philippine Airlines, Jeron Travel & Tours Corporation, Pan Pacific Travel Corporation, Canadian Travel, Horizon Travel & Tours Inc., Las Palmas Tour & Travel, Renaissance Travel & Tours Inc., Uni-Orient Travel Inc., Everbright Travel & Tours Inc., Performance Travel, Skynet Travel Corporation, Ark Travel Express, Inc., and Goldlink Travel & Tours will provide high-quality travel products at the venue. 

Anyone buying a Taiwan trip at the trade fair will receive a gift and there will be many special offers to be taken advantage of.
