A sisterhood startup born from a shared love for beauty

How Belle Mariano and sister Daniela launched a makeup brand

At just 23 years old, actress Belle Mariano  epitomizes the spirit of sisterhood and entrepreneurship. A growing entrepreneur, Belle proudly stepped into this new chapter in November 2025 alongside her 19-year-old sister,  Daniela, and unveiled their passion project. The sisters launched the heartwarming makeup brand Talee, named after their 10-year-old sister,  Natalia.

The kind encouragement

The business journey began when Daniela excitedly pitched her makeup brand idea during a casual lunch or dinner (Belle was trying to remember!) to Belle and their mom. Belle’s reaction was filled with warmth and admiration.

“She really pitched this idea. I told her, ‘Daniela, wow, I didn’t think you can come up with something this big!’”

This moment teaches us the importance of believing in our siblings and encouraging their dreams, no matter how big they seem. Belle showed how much she was paying attention and being present as a sister, as she was well aware of how much her sister loves makeup, during our intimate interview at their private launch in BGC.

Embracing collaboration

When Daniela presented her vision, Belle immediately saw the spark of possibility and told her sister, “Daniela, let’s work on this! This is going to be our project. This is going to be our baby.”

She shared this animatedly and reenacted how she told her sister. This commitment illustrates an important lesson: collaboration with family can turn dreams into reality. Supporting each other’s ambitions magnifies the very heart of sisterhood.

Celebrating creativity

Talee launched with two versatile product lines: the Lip & Cheek Glaze Stain and Lip & Cheek Tint Mud, each crafted with care. “Coming up with the product names was one of the most fun parts of our whole creative process,” shared Belle.

They came up with cute names such as Golden Hour, Sweetheart, Sunset Babe, Petal Play, Sangria Night, Mon Cheri, Cinnamon Girl, Barely There, Soft Launch, and Bunny Honey.

Channeling selflessness

In a world where personal success often takes center stage, Belle chose to celebrate Daniela’s creativity by naming the brand after their youngest sister. The well-loved actress could have easily named the brand after herself, given her huge following.

But Belle said, “Whatever business that is, I’m going to support her,” showing that selflessness within the family can create deeper connections. She redirected the attention away from herself.

Valuing the sense of belonging

The sisters involved their mom in their brand discussions, showcasing the importance of honoring family preferences. Belle recalled her mother’s only wish.

“She wants a subtle lipstick. She asked, ‘Can you add a shade that’s for me?’ [She wants a shade that’s] very nude. There but not there.”

This inclusion teaches us that valuing family perspectives enriches collaborative efforts.

Making dreams a reality

The excitement of launching Talee was heightened when the sisters celebrated their long-anticipated dream at an intimate event.

Belle joyfully exclaimed when the press met her, “I’m so happy that this finally happened because we have been working on this for quite some time. I’m glad we have finally launched this! This is our dream! You can get it now—Talee!”

The joy here encapsulates the thrill of seeing hard work pay off, a lesson that determination and patience lead to fulfillment.

The heart of Talee

“What makes Talee different is the core of Talee. It is created by Daniela and me,” Belle simply put it. 

By weaving their personal stories and sisterly bond into the brand, they remind us that successful ventures thrive on authentic connections and shared values. 

“We want Talee to be your sister, something you can bring with you anywhere, like your sister. You go hand in hand,” she added, making Talee a symbol of comfort and companionship. 

To add to that, the shades are simple yet varied. Belle and Daniela want to celebrate authenticity and different kinds of beauty, which is why they offer a wide array of shades. As Belle jokingly quipped, they want girls to be “to-Talee” themselves.

Belle’s inspiring journey as an entrepreneur and loving big sister highlights the passion and strength found in sisterhood. Through their makeup brand, Belle and Daniela not only celebrate their love for makeup but also the bond between them. This bond has shed light on the power of sisterhood, teaching us that when sisters unite, they can conquer challenges, share dreams, and create something beautiful. Totally.
