The 22nd Annual Club Punta Fuego Regatta reaffirmed Nasugbu, Batangas as a destination for competitive sailing and water sports. Organized by MVP-led Landco Pacific Corporation, the event has been staged annually since 2021 in partnership with the Philippine Inter-Island Sailing Foundation (PHINSAF) and Club Punta Fuego.
Landco Pacific Corporation Vice President for Commercial and Customer Experience Gerard Peñaflor said the regatta aims to attract sailing enthusiasts, sports aficionados, and global tourists. The event aligns with the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) efforts to position the Philippines as a key destination for water sports.
“With our islands, coastlines, and favorable wind conditions, we are strengthening partnerships with the sailing community to further promote this sport among Filipinos,” said DOT CALABARZON Regional Director Marites T. Castro.
The two-day regatta, one of the country’s longest-running yachting competitions, drew business leaders, entrepreneurs, and seasoned sailors. Pablo Lobregat’s Despacito won the Overall-Cruising category, followed by Eric Nicolas’ Dantes, Renato Ticzon’s Papaya, and Richard McGonegal’s Neptunus III. In the Ocean Multi-Hull race, Roman Azanza’s Tututango placed first, with Mochu Garcia’s Cariño securing second place.

Races took place near Landco Pacific’s seaside developments, Terrazas de Punta Fuego and Peninsula de Punta Fuego. The 88-hectare Peninsula de Punta Fuego, a luxury residential resort community, is a flagship project of Landco Pacific. Punta Fuego has seen property value appreciation exceeding 1,000 percent since the 1990s and features a marina, a golf course, and Club Punta Fuego.
Landco Pacific recently introduced The Residences at Terrazas de Punta Fuego, a beachfront condominium with panoramic views of Nasugbu Bay. The development includes low-density clusters, high ceilings, large windows, and direct access to 800 meters of white sand beach.
