Avida Land celebrated its 34th anniversary with the return of Grand Neighbor Day, a nationwide event aimed at strengthening community bonds and promoting sustainable living. The celebration, held across Avida communities nationwide, featured activities inspired by the theme “Connect & Thrive: Building Stronger Communities Together.”
Nancy Delegencia, head of Avida’s Customer Care and Product Delivery Group, said the event emphasized the company’s commitment to fostering connections among its residents.
“For our 34th anniversary, we sought to make it significant by inviting our residents to celebrate together with the common goal of inspiring lives and fostering a sustainable lifestyle,” she said.
One of the event’s highlights was the Grand Reveal of entries for the Avida Upcycling Competition. Residents collaborated to create Christmas lanterns using recycled PET bottles and other materials. A panel of judges, including curator and poet Dr. Carlomar Arcangel Daoana, visual artist Joshua Limon Palisoc, art curator Attorney Joseph Gonzales, and Ayala Land’s Petes Gamboa, assessed the designs.
The competition featured participants from communities such as Avida Towers Vireo and Avida Towers One Union Place in Arca South, Avida Towers Vita in Vertis North, Avida Towers Turf in Bonifacio Global City, Avida Towers Riala in Cebu, Avida Towers Atria in Iloilo, and various locations in Laguna, Cavite, and Tagaytay.
The winning entry, created by Team Avida Verra Settings Vermosa, featured a vibrant design incorporating plastics, PET bottles, and construction debris to symbolize unity and family. Second and third places went to Avida Towers Riala and Serin East Tagaytay, respectively.
The celebration extended beyond the competition, with arts and crafts activities like “Debris to Design,” where participants transformed recycled materials into home décor. Residents also enjoyed “A Taste of My Hometown,” a culinary exchange of regional dishes.
“At Avida, we aim to enhance our residents’ living experiences through meaningful relationships and activities,” Delegencia said.
Avida Land, a brand under Ayala Land Corp., focuses on upper mid-income residential developments. It continues to support sustainable lifestyles through its diverse portfolio of properties, including residential, retail, office, and leisure developments.
