Grocery chain Puregold kicked off the first day of the country’s biggest sari-sari store convention, the Tindahan ni Aling Puring Negosyo Convention 2024, last May 16.
The first day of the convention aimed to support and empower members of its Tindahan ni Aling Puring program. It saw an opening program graced by Puregold executives and the grocery chain’s partner suppliers, celebrating the significant milestones it had achieved.
“We are just four doors away from reaching 500 Puregold stores,” said Puregold Chairman Susan Co, adding that the Tindahan ni Aling Puring program that had been providing benefits to smaller businesses has welcomed about 12,000 new members, leading to a total of almost one million members.
“Be assured that Puregold will continue to innovate and inspire all Ka-Asensos in the next decades to come,” she added.
Following the opening program was a grand band performance along with a dancing mascot of Aling Puring that wowed thousands of Aling Puring members who attended the event.
The first day of the highly-anticipated event was also graced by several celebrities like Belle Mariano, Marian Rivera, Bianca Umali, and Anthony Jennings along with musical performances by Agsunta, Andrew E., and Orange and Lemons.
The annual convention offered a multitude of exclusive deals, promotions, and freebies for sari-sari store owners as well as other small businesses. As the program celebrated its 20th year, over 120 partner brands such as including Monde Nissin, Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Universal Robina, Alaska Milk, Century Pacific Food, Coca-Cola Beverages, Colgate-Palmolive, GCash, Nutri-Asia, and Rebisco were in attendance with colorful booths themed around Filipino festivals for the entirety of the three-day event.

The Tindahan ni Aling Puring Sari-Sari Store Convention 2024 was held at the World Trade Center from May 16 to 18.
