Trends come and go with each passing year. Some of the most recent ones are those concerned with beauty.

The beauty trends that captured the public’s interest during the previous year are “skinimalism” or skin minimalism, which empowers people to embrace their natural skin by using fewer cosmetics, bringing back some trends from the 1980s, and using bold colors to accentuate their features.

The skincare industry will focus more on meeting the needs of their customers by developing products that will fortify and balance their skin.

As we welcome 2022, new trends will also arise. Skincare continues to be at the forefront of the beauty industry as many individuals are still interested in the idea of achieving clear and healthy s

According to some analysts, consumers can expect innovations that will result in new products focused on giving people what their skins need.

In the previous years, people subject themselves to a multiple-step skincare routine. While the process may be interesting, it can be expensive and arduous to many. But with the development of skincare products that are focused on meeting the needs of specific skin types, skincare companies are turning their attention to producing items that will strengthen and rebalance their customers’ skins.

The makeup industry will also follow this trend as they’re also on the path to creating products that also benefit users’ skin. Several products such as powders with sun protection and lipsticks with moisturizer have already been out in the market. More brands are expected to follow to bring more diversity.

Men had the chance to explore new horizons that allowed them to invest in self-care and achieve smooth, healthy skin.

Another notable expectation in 2022 is the inclusivity of customers in the skincare industry. New products are also developed according to the needs of men to provide them with the same care and help them redefine their masculinity.

A possibility behind the new customer population in a booming industry is due to the pandemic, where people had a lot of time on their hands. Men had the chance to explore new horizons that allowed them to invest in self-care and achieve smooth, healthy skin.

Other than the free time due to the pandemic, a more progressive community also plays a role in the men’s interest in skincare products.

Celebrity culture and social media platforms challenged gender stereotypes and moved away from outdated norms.

Skincare isn’t the only beauty trend expected to become popular in 2022. Thanks to celebrity influence, bold makeup looks are starting to gain a footing among the public. In 2021, almost everyone accepted that the reign of the regular cat-eye trend has come to an end.

Personalities like Doja Cat and Dua Lipa have begun sporting double liners that use bright colors to define the entire look.

The look encourages color play and gives makeup enthusiasts a whole new level of confidence as they create their graphic liners that are sure to turn heads everywhere.

Aside from the new trends to look forward to in 2022, trends from previous years are also making a comeback. One example is the use of glitter. Models on runways, TikTok users, and many makeup influencers are adding an extra shine to their look by dabbing glitter here and there, such as their eyes, lips, and even on their cheeks. Eyeshadow palettes and blushes are given an added dash of glitter to make sure that the overall look stands out.

Glitter in makeup is making a comeback in 2022.

Bold makeup looks and inclusive skincare lines are only among the beauty trends that people can expect in 2022. But like many things in life, the trends that will define the new year are still unpredictable, depending on what piques the interest of society. Regardless of what these are, people can expect to see new developments that will excite and delight them throughout the year.
