The Amlan substation of the Amlan-Dumaguete 138kV Transmission line project of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) started its operation on Oct. 9.
The substation, a general contracting project of Energy China, is an important project of NGCP located in Amlan, Negros Oriental.
After being incorporated into the power networks, it provides power access for the Amlan-Dumaguete 138kV Transmission Line Project and lays a solid foundation for the whole project, including the construction of the new station and the related line project of the NGCP.
The overall commissioning of the relevant projects will cater to the growing demand for power in Dumaguete.
It will also improve the reliability and stability of the grid and provide a sufficient supply of power for the development and construction of the new airport and its neighboring areas, boosting economic development of the local community.
