The Las Piñas City government has launched its “Lab on Wheels” program to provide free medical laboratory services to residents.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar stated that the city’s mobile laboratory, staffed by members of the City Health Office (CHO), will travel to the 20 barangays in the city to offer complimentary medical services such as chest X-rays, ECGs, fasting blood sugar tests, and cholesterol tests.
She said the deployment of the mobile laboratory aims to bring high-quality medical services closer to the city residents.
“We are bringing medical services closer to residents to help lessen the burden of paying for laboratory examinations in private clinics or hospitals,” Aguilar said.
Vice-Mayor April Aguilar noted that the Las Piñas Lab on Wheels program is also part of their “Tuloy ang Tapat at Progresibong Serbisyo” for the Las Piñeros. “The health of the city residents is our priority to ensure the well-being of the community,” she said.
