The Taguig City government has launched its Bivalent Oral Polio Vaccine Catch-Up and Supplemental Immunization Activity campaign covering frontline workers in the city.

Present during the first day of the activity was Mayor Laarni Cayetano, who wanted to ensure the well-being of frontline workers was a priority.

Cayetano said the initiative is part of her administration’s advocacy against vaccine-preventable diseases, highlighting the local government’s commitment to providing effective and safe vaccinations.

She emphasized the importance of protecting health workers so they can deliver accurate information to the community and handle vaccines properly.

The vaccination campaign, which will run from April 15 to May 15, 2024, targets children from ages 6 weeks to 59 months.
