Mariveles, Bataan—Members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Mariveles led by Vice Mayor Lito Rubia have extended assistance to a child here afflicted with a severe disease.
Other SB Mariveles members who provided help were Councilor Tito Catipon, Councilor Angel Sunga, Councilor Susan Murillo, Councilor Ronald Arcenal, Councilor Joey Carandang, Councilor Harry Golocan, and SK Municipal Federation President Vincent Charles Banzon.
The town council members gave financial aid and groceries to Von Calilung of Brgy. Baseco. According to the child’s parents, he was sufffering from acute ischemic stroke secondary to unruptured left MCA aneuysm takayasi arteritis.
Personnel of SB Mariveles brought the assistance to the beneficiariy and checked his condition.
This is just a simple way for SB Mariveles members to help needy residents using money from their own pockets especially now at the time of COVID-19 pandemic, said SB Mariveles in its Facebook account.
The parents thanked Rubia and other member of Mariveles council for helping them.
They also thanked Gov. Abet Garcia and members of Sangguniang Panlalawigan for their assistance when Von was hospitalized.
SB Mariveles members also appealed to local residents to help each other in this time of pandemic and strictly follow the protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
